Huma Hussain

UI/UX Designer
Huma has the unique ability to have as much fun burning the midnight oil while scaling a design challenge as she does snorkeling in South China Sea! A Visual Communication graduate from the Srishti Institute of Art, Design & Technology, she tried her hand at advertising while interning at Ogilvy & Mather and has worked at Babajob, where she helped the product team design the user experience for an online job marketplace for blue collar workers. A forward thinker, Huma is always thinking of design ideas for India's next billion - the upcoming wave of first time internet users.

Huma believes that art and design are both nearly worthless if they do not serve to better human lives in some way. While a million dollar painting may warm your heart hanging on your wall, it is a mix of design and technology that has the power to feed a million mouths. As a UI/UX designer at NDTV Worldwide, she is working on the User Experience and Visual Design of MyHealth. She believes that adding ease to a patient's already harrowing and expensive healthcare process is her current contribution to greater good.

When her mind isn't occupied by the next big design challenge, Huma finds solace in Korean dramas. She has watched enough shows to no longer need subtitles and can very well be made an honorary citizen of the friendlier Korean camp. While she dreams of visiting Seoul someday, Huma has traveled to bucket list worthy countries such as Egypt, Cambodia and also been a beach bum in Sri Lanka. Her parents live in Vietnam and any trips home help her gain a deeper understanding of the country. Huma has dabbled with tennis in school and also paints in her free time. Fondly named Confucius by her family, Huma lives by his words, "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”
