Samaya News is a 24-hour Kannada news channel that had been bought over by a new management team in August 2013. NDTV Worldwide was engaged for editorial training, channel management and branding services. Reporters, stringers, input and output desks, camerapeople and other production crews of Samaya News were trained in the art of storytelling for television and efficient operational workflows by our team. A very senior editorial resource was stationed at the site for 6 months to monitor and help with the day to day planning of the news channel and to see that the workflows introduced by NDTV WW were being followed.
In terms of branding, Samaya News was keen to bring a refreshed, international look to the channel and engaged us to redesign the channel logo, channel identity, news graphic templates and the overall screen look.
